Teeth whitening products are available everywhere, but not every method is right for you. The most successful teeth whitening plans begin with a consultation with our dentists to discuss your case. This gives you an opportunity to learn about the variety of teeth whitening options available and determine which will be the best option for you.
Patients can choose from:
In-Office Teeth Whitening
Our professional teeth cleaning process is done in-office and might include a whitening lamp or lasers and whitening gel. Appointments typically last about 90 minutes and are comfortable and relaxing.
At-Home Teeth Whitening
Patients have several at-home whitening options, including:
- Tray bleaching – custom-made trays are used to hold the whitening gel in place. The peroxide in the gel whitens stained teeth and is capable of whitening all of your teeth. Results are noticeable within three to five days and the entire process typically takes about 10 to 14 days.
- Paint-on teeth whiteners – this is an over-the-counter whitening solution that uses a small brush and gel that hardens into a film and coats the stained tooth.
- Teeth whitening strips – these are thin plastic strips that are coated with hydrogen peroxide. Strips are designed for upper and lower teeth and worn for approximately 30 minutes twice a day.
- Whitening toothpaste and mouthwash – these products are typically used in conjunction with other whitening procedures or to extend the results of other whitening treatments. These products do not lighten the color of the tooth, but remove surface stains to create a mild change and prevent buildup.
